Local Financial Co-Op in Middle Tennessee

Founded in 1955 by Educators
Mid-State Educators Credit Union was founded in 1955 by a group of visionary educators in Davidson County. Guided by the philosophy of people helping people, they set out to establish a not-for-profit financial cooperative offering low-cost financial services. We updated our name to Cornerstone Financial Credit Union in 2005 to reflect the growth of our membership to more Tennesseans.

Member-Owned and Member-Focused
Credit unions originated as a way for individuals to pool their money and make loans to each other. Everyone in the group benefited from the cooperative effort. While banks are for-profit businesses owned by shareholders, credit unions are not-for-profit organizations owned by its members for the benefit of its members.

True to Our Mission
We exist for the benefit of each other – still true to our original philosophy of people helping people. We not only offer the most competitive rates possible but also exceptional service with sound financial counseling. In fact, that’s our mission statement: Caring financial advisors providing exceptional service for life.
